Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of Foreign Affairs, describing the decision as a strong indication of inclusiveness and national cohesion.
In a statement released on the development, Ohanenye said the appointment reflects the administration’s commitment to fairness and unity across Nigeria’s diverse regions. She noted that selecting Ojukwu from Anambra State demonstrates recognition of competence beyond ethnic and regional lines.
She described the appointment as “honourable and reassuring” for the people of Anambra State, adding that it reinforces confidence in the state’s representation at the federal level.

Ohanenye further congratulated Ojukwu, calling the appointment well-deserved and expressing confidence in her ability to effectively represent Nigeria on the global stage and strengthen the country’s foreign relations.
According to her, Ojukwu’s background, pedigree, and experience position her to make meaningful contributions to advancing Nigeria’s diplomatic interests.
