Media personality Priscilla Ojo has spoken publicly about the intense speculation her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, faced over his ability to have children before the couple welcomed their first child together.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo shared on Instagram, Ojo disclosed that many people in Tanzania questioned why Jux had not become a father by the age of 35 despite his fame, successful music career, and past relationships.

According to her, the singer became the subject of public criticism and rumours, with some people allegedly assuming he was infertile because he did not have children or a “baby mama” like several of his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
“In Tanzania, people thought he was impotent because he didn’t have a child or a baby mama like many of his friends and colleagues. They kept asking why he wasn’t having kids like others, especially since he had been in previous relationships,” she said.

Ojo, however, described her husband as a disciplined and intentional man who chose to wait until he was fully prepared for fatherhood and family life.
“There were always questions, but he knew when the time was right. He is very disciplined and clear about what he wants. You can be around certain people and still choose a different path,” she added.
She further revealed that even after the birth of their son, some critics continued to speculate, alleging that the child may have been born through surrogacy or medical implantation.
The couple tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in Tanzania in February 2025 before holding their traditional and white weddings in Lagos in April 2025.
They later welcomed their son, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025.
