Precision strikes targeted major terrorist hideouts in Wa Jahode and Loghpere, deep in the rugged Mandara Mountains near the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The airstrikes were carried out under Operation Hadin Kai, following a surge in insurgent activity in the area.
Intelligence had revealed a logistics buildup and the presence of high-ranking Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad commanders within these enclaves.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, the operation was based on thorough surveillance.
“Confirmatory intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions showed fortified structures flying black flags, complete with solar panels and defensive shelters,” he said.
He explained that the Nigerian Air Force airstrikes were carefully executed to hit high-value targets including command centres, logistics depots, and bunkered positions.
The strikes destroyed several key installations, severely disrupting the group’s ability to launch further attacks.
“Several terrorists were neutralised in the operation, effectively disrupting their supply chain and diminishing their capability to sustain further offensives,” Ejodame confirmed.
The targeted locations had long served as strongholds for Boko Haram’s Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad faction, notorious for its cross-border operations and resilience in mountainous terrain.
Ejodame reiterated that the Nigerian Air Force would not relent in its mission. “We remain committed to sustaining the onslaught against terrorists and restoring lasting peace across troubled regions,” he said.
This latest offensive reflects renewed urgency in Nigeria’s counter-terrorism campaign, especially in the volatile North-East where insurgents continue to pose a threat to regional stability.
