Hon. Ewatomilola Emiola Owoeye, a former aide to the Ondo State governor, has been appointed as Senior Legislative Aide to the President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

Owoeye, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Research and Documentation to Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, officially assumed her new role at the National Assembly of Nigeria last week.
A media practitioner, politician, and entrepreneur, she described her appointment as both a privilege and a call to higher service.

“I return all glory to God Almighty for this opportunity. It is not just a personal milestone but a chance to contribute meaningfully to national development,” she said.
Owoeye pledged to bring her experience in governance and administration to bear in her new position, with a focus on supporting policies that drive good governance and inclusive growth across the country.
“I am committed to using this office to positively impact the lives of Nigerians and support initiatives that promote national progress,” she added.
Reflecting on her previous role, Owoeye expressed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve under his administration between 2024 and 2026, where she contributed to policy development and administrative processes.
Her transition from the state level to the federal legislature marks a significant step in her political and professional journey.
