The candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Babatunde Gbadamosi, has lamented that thuggery that has come to be part of the ruling party in Lagos State.
He posted this when he complained about some thugs sponsored by the All Progressive Congress who allegedly went on vandalism rampage against perceived opposition.
He wrote:
At around 2am on Saturday 16th February 2019, the Lagos Island home of Saheed Lawal, a former APC supporter who recently defected to the ADP after being used & dumped over several election cycles, was invaded by about 20 APC thugs, led by one Rilwan “Stubborn” and Sulaimon both from Alagbeji Street, and one Nojimu, from Oju-Olokun Street, all in Isale-Eko.
As you can see from the pictures, his home was thoroughly vandalised and many of his personal effects destroyed.
His elderly mother was assaulted by these cretins, not minding her advanced age. One Quam Olorunoje, another local decamped to the ADP, was also matcheted by these APC thugs.
Their offence? They left the diabolical cult that is the APC and joined the Action Democratic Party.
These thugs are sent on errands of violence by the latter day saints of the APC, to brutalise, injure and kill anyone who opposes them. They glorify and reward banditry, holding thugs up as role models for the army of drug-addled urchins they exploit for electoral purposes.
We are not intimidated or cowed by their behaviour. We never expected anything less. The matter has already been reported to the Nigeria Police Force and investigations are on.
He however asked his supporters to remain focused as the mission to set free Lagosians in on course.
