The aspiration of the national leader of the All progressives Congress (APC) has received further boost ,with the submission that he is the most suitable for consensus arrangements in the party.
The submission was made on Friday in Lagos by Team Nigeria For Change in a press release signed by its national president, Chief Bestman Nze Jumbo, describing the former Governor of Lagos state as “a credible,reliable, dependable and a unifier,”who will be acceptable in all the six geo- political zones of the country.
He further posited that with the adoption mode adopted at the national convention of the APC,if such should be replicated for the presidential primary,it should be done with the mindset of producing a credible and acceptable candidate that will be popular across the country.
According to him” it’s crystal that the 2023 elections are approaching,it’s for us as a group committed to good governance, that we will continue to talk about the Aspirants parading the political landscape. While we appreciate the jostling for the presidency by so many politicians, however,we want to say we must make our position known at this point in time.”
” With the recent conclusion of the national convention of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) and the timetable by INEC on the conduct of primary elections by parties,we will want the party, APC ,to look critically into the Aspirants running under it’s banners and scrutinize properly,look at their antecedent, acceptability across the zones,the pedigree and above all,their commitment to good governance. From our intense and widespread consultations,we have found out that only Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a towering influence and acceptable conduct across the country,so we will admonish the party to consider him ,for his efforts in the birthing of this democracy…”
