Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on Friday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor commended Muslims for their devotion, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment to the spiritual tenets of Islam throughout the fasting period.
Oborevwori described Ramadan as a time for deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith, urging adherents to carry forward these virtues beyond the holy month for the benefit of society.

He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence, unity, and tolerance among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, noting that such values are essential for national cohesion.
The governor also called on citizens to use the festive period to pray for sustained peace, stability, and progress in the country, emphasising that collective responsibility and mutual understanding are vital to addressing prevailing socio-economic challenges.

While wishing Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, Oborevwori reassured residents of Delta State of his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and improved welfare for all, in line with his M.O.R.E Agenda.
He further urged residents to celebrate responsibly and continue supporting government initiatives aimed at building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Delta State.
