A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 01, Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, has congratulated Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, following his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Lagos governorship election.
In a statement released on behalf of constituents in Oshodi-Isolo 01, Ogundipe described Hamzat’s emergence as a deserving recognition of his competence, leadership capacity, and impressive record in public service.
The lawmaker noted that his close working relationship with the deputy governor over the years has given him firsthand insight into Hamzat’s contributions toward the implementation of the THEMES+ Agenda and infrastructural development across Lagos State.
According to Ogundipe, Hamzat’s emergence reflects the confidence reposed in him by party stakeholders and residents who believe in his ability to sustain Lagos’ developmental strides.
“Your emergence once again stands as an eloquent testimony to your outstanding capacity and proven experience in moving Lagos State forward on the path of sustainable growth and prosperity,” he stated.
Ogundipe further praised Hamzat for his dedication to progressive governance, people-focused leadership, and quality service delivery, stressing that his candidacy would strengthen the APC’s progressive ideals in Lagos.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the Oshodi-Isolo lawmaker expressed optimism about working closely with Hamzat while pursuing his own re-election bid to represent Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He added that the collaboration would help consolidate the achievements of the current administration and drive more grassroots development across the constituency and Lagos State at large.
