Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Executive Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Council, Safiyanu Isah.
Isah was kidnapped on Monday night, January 1, 2024, at Ningo village, along Akwanga-Andaha road.
His media aide, Kamal Dauda Rija, who confirmed the incident in a statement said he was abducted alongside others, including a renowned philanthropist in the local Government, Adamu Umar, popularly known as Maccido.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, security personnel comprising the police and other agencies have swiftly begun the trial of the abductors to ensure the release of the victims.
