The rate of reported suicide cases in Nigeria is still on the increase as a 100 level female student of Moddibo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) in Adamawa state allegedly committed suicide due to her poor result.
The undergraduate student of the Department of Management; School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT) it was gathered to have allegedly ingested insecticide in Oba Adetona Hostel of the University where she lodged, after seeing the result.

According to an eyewitness, she injested a locally prepared insecticide “She was a 100 level student of Management Department of the School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT).
She saw her first semester result and had F in 9 courses so she went back to her hostel and drank ota pia pia”
The research intensive university is located in Yola, the capital city of Adamawa State in Northeastern Nigeria.
