A non-political group, Tinubu Media Team, TMT, has stated that the only candidate for the 2023 presidential election being a south western Nigerian slot is none other than the former governor of Lagos State and All Progressive Congress national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The woman leader of the group, Tokunbo Adeniyi, in a signed statement, said that the United States based group is a social political pressure group, with no political affiliations but with the sole aim of bringing good governance to the country.

In her own words, “We are so delighted, with every sense of love, harmony and peace to reach out and share the good news of our movement and collective intention to steer the wheel of a better Nigeria and, actively ensure our campaign and votes play major roles in effecting 2023 change continuity without giving failure a breath.

“We are a set of credible, hardworking and well profiled Nigerians, who sojoured to the States for purpose of economic exploits and a bid to explore from such an advanced country like America and imbibe its core values, enterprise, business sense, skills and many more. Proudly, we can attest to some level of fulfillment and great achievements, as professional, entrepreneurs and technocrats who have been able to establish themselves on a different clime.

“Our intention as a group in the diaspora to join the politics of our motherland, Nigeria and ensure we campaign, canvas and reach out to all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora through series of anomalies experienced, seen and left back home.”

While stating the purpose for the movement, she said, “It was disheartening and discouraging for us seeing the continuing trend of corruption, insecurity and bad governance before the emergence of APC.”

Adeniyi reiterated that TMT is a Socio-political Pressure Group and actually has no affiliations with any political party but “we have a mentor symbol which is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”

As the next presidential election draws nearer, the woman leader said the group is leaving no stone unturned ensuring that Tinubu’s candidacy is given proper attention.

“2023 is so near and we can’t afford to leave any stone unturned, which is why we have kick started the campaign for no other candidate but our indefatigable, political juggernaut and a strategist of sort to take the baton and continue the good work just as we trust in his abilities to deliver beyond expectation and even more.”

Stating that “his political pedigree, experience grassroots mobilization, positive initiatives and developmental oriented credentials will definitely beat anyone’s doubt.”

The USA Chapter’s focus is to mobilise Nigerians in diaspora to support Asiwaju in 2023 under whatever platform the APC national leader may choose to run.
