Tinubu’s Projects in Northern Nigeria Are Visible, APC Chieftain Tells Critics

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has defended the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that the administration’s development projects across Northern Nigeria are visible and can be physically verified.

Speaking to journalists in Kano on Wednesday, Kwankwaso said the Tinubu administration has given priority to infrastructure, agriculture and social intervention programmes aimed at improving the lives of people in the region.

The APC stalwart, who also serves as Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, accused opposition figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party leader Peter Obi, of focusing on criticism instead of presenting practical alternatives.

“Every day they are busy criticising President Tinubu, whose projects across the country, particularly in the North, can be clearly seen,” he said.

According to him, the Federal Government is executing infrastructure and development projects worth trillions of naira across Kano and other northern states, covering roads, rail, power and agriculture.

Kwankwaso said the projects are part of the President’s Renewed Hope agenda and are tangible evidence of the administration’s commitment to regional development.

He disclosed that more than 30 federal projects are currently ongoing in Kano State alone, adding that the President’s interventions have strengthened support for his administration in the region.

Expressing confidence ahead of the 2027 general election, Kwankwaso said Tinubu’s investments in Kano and Northern Nigeria would translate into massive electoral support.

He cited the ₦334 billion Kano–Kongolom Road project as one of the administration’s flagship initiatives, noting that the 132-kilometre dual carriageway is expected to improve connectivity between Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states.
