A TikTok user identified as Love has revealed she is facing a N50 million lawsuit from a bread company following a viral video in which she questioned the unusually long shelf life of a loaf of bread.
The video, which gained traction across social media, showed the user expressing concern that the bread remained fresh in appearance and smell two months after purchase.
Love maintained that she deliberately avoided naming any brand or displaying a logo in the video to prevent targeting a specific company.

However, in a follow-up post, she disclosed that she had been served a legal notice by solicitors representing a company identified as Bon Bread.
According to her, the company had also reached out to her via direct message just a day after the video was published.

She expressed shock at the development, insisting that her original post did not identify any manufacturer. She noted that while some viewers pressed her to reveal the brand, others speculated in the comment section, mentioning various bread producers and sharing personal experiences.
Recounting the incident, she said she had been intentional about keeping the video neutral, but was still drawn into a legal dispute.
The situation has since sparked conversations online about consumer rights, product transparency, and the risks content creators face when sharing personal observations about everyday products.
As of the time of reporting, the bread company has not publicly detailed the basis of the lawsuit, while the case continues to generate debate across social media platforms.
