The Osun State Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, has emphasized the importance of ongoing renovation works at the Osogbo Township Stadium for youth sports development in the state.
Prince Adewusi, who also serves as Commissioner for Sports, made the remarks during an on-site inspection of the stadium alongside his entourage.
Initiated by Governor Ademola Adeleke and managed by Maxwell International Venture, the stadium is being remodeled to meet world-class standards. The ambitious project includes two international-standard football pitches, multiple sports courts, a hotel, and renovated athlete hostels.

The Deputy Governor praised Maxwell International Venture for the progress, noting, “From what we’ve seen on site, a lot has been achieved. This project is particularly important to the sports development of our youth. The contractors informed me that they fast-tracked the project according to our timeline.”
Project Manager Arc. John Ewule assured Prince Adewusi that the state-of-the-art facility would be completed on schedule, further reinforcing Osun State’s commitment to nurturing young athletes and enhancing sports infrastructure.
