In a strategic move to reinforce the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s ongoing membership e-registration exercise, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudasiru Obasa, has donated 80 5G-enabled tablets and 40 LaserJet printers to support seamless registration across the state.

The donation, made on Tuesday, January 20, was formally presented on the Speaker’s behalf by a delegation of party leaders, including Hon. Mufutau Egberongbe, former member of the House of Representatives; Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, former Lagos APC Secretary and two-term lawmaker; Hon. Johnson Babatunde, former Executive Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA; and Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun, Managing Director of Lagos State Ferry Services (LAGFERRY).
Beyond the equipment, Speaker Obasa also deployed 80 well-trained, computer-literate youths to complement existing party staff, ensuring effective coverage of the e-registration exercise across all local government areas in Lagos State.

According to the Speaker, the deployment of modern technology and skilled manpower is aimed at eliminating operational bottlenecks, improving efficiency, and guaranteeing that all eligible APC members are duly captured in the party’s database. He noted that the intervention would also promote transparency and credibility in the registration process.
Party stakeholders have commended Obasa’s initiative, describing it as a clear demonstration of loyalty to the APC, visionary leadership, and a commitment to digital inclusion, youth empowerment, and grassroots political participation.
“Speaker Obasa’s strategic tech support reinforces his reputation as a forward-thinking leader who prioritises innovation, inclusivity, and the growth of the party from the grassroots,” Hon. Johnson Babatunde said.
The APC membership e-registration exercise, which is expected to conclude by the end of January, is projected to significantly expand the party’s membership database and strengthen its organisational capacity ahead of future political engagements.
