Manu Garba, a World Cup-winning coach, returns as Head Coach of the Golden Eaglets, Nigeria’s U17 boys’ team.

Garba famously led the Eaglets to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup in the UAE and steered them through the 2019 qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Moses Aduku has been named Head Coach of the Falconets, Nigeria’s U20 girls’ team.

Aduku replaces Chris Danjuma and brings deep experience, having previously coached Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and served as assistant coach during the Falconets’ 2022 World Cup quarter-final run.
Both appointments were approved by the NFF Executive Committee following recommendations from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
The tacticians will assume their roles on Sunday. The Falconets face Rwanda in September for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, while the Golden Eaglets will compete in the WAFU B U17 Championship, also in September, hosted in Nigeria.
