Community development advocate and social mobilizer, Comrade Musa Idris Buko, has been appointed as the Director of Coalition and Stakeholders Engagement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign in Kwara State.
The appointment was announced by the Kwara State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Youth Engagement and Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Nafisat Buge, in a letter dated June 1, 2026.
According to the letter, the appointment recognises Buko’s loyalty, commitment and contributions to the Renewed Hope agenda under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“You have demonstrated unwavering support, loyalty and commitment to the Renewed Hope vision under the APC. Your leadership qualities and dedication to grassroots development make you a suitable choice for this responsibility,” the letter stated.
Renewed Hope Youth Engagement is a youth-focused political movement established to mobilise young Nigerians in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The initiative is backed by APC governors and is expected to coordinate youth participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement is led nationally by Vice President Kashim Shettima as Grand Patron, while Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq serves as Patron.
In his new role, Buko will coordinate engagement with traditional rulers, religious leaders, professional organisations, community-based associations, youth groups and other political stakeholders to strengthen support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid, the APC governorship candidate and other party candidates in Kwara State.
Buko currently serves as the National Secretary of the Indigenous Ethnic Youth Leaders of Nigeria (IEYLN), Vice President of the Baruten Progressive Association (BPA), and is a former House of Representatives candidate and former Chairman of the Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG).
A policy development expert and social mobilisation advocate, he holds a master’s degree from Kwara State University, Malete, alongside leadership, governance and sustainable development certifications from the United Nations Systems Staff College and other reputable institutions across Africa.
