Lifanima 2019 announces official selection

The Lagos International Festival of Animation, LIFANIMA has released its Official Selection for the 2019. The festival received 461 entries from 71 countries. However, 34 entries have been selected for screening at the festival.

According to the Festiva Director, Muyiwa Kayode, “LIFANIMA provides a forum for projecting the incredible possibilities and potential of animation to transform the movie industry across Africa”

“LIFANIMA will also provide a platform for animators to interact with other stakeholders for optimum value creation and rapid growth of the animation industry”.

LIFANIMA ‘s objectives are; to promote the rapid development of the animation industry in Nigeria and across Africa; to improve the movie industry through increased inclusion of animation content; to provide a platform for the promotion of local animators and development of the quality of animation and to expose animators to the latest technologies in animation hardware and software.

The festival will feature Screening of Selected Works, Award Presentation, Networking and Entertainment.

The Keynote Speaker at the festival’s animation seminar is Femi Odugbemi, FTA, award winning documentary film maker and Director of the Multichoice Talent Factory. Guest Speaker is Uche Nwuka, Group Head, Creative Industry Group, Bank of Industry.

The event will attract local and foreign animators, film makers, Investors, Financial Institutions, Advertising agencies, Musical Video Producers, Media Practitioners, Digital Marketing professionals, Government agencies, Information Technology companies/manufacturers and the general public.

LIFANIMA 2019 holds at Freedom Park, Lagos on Thursday June 6.
