The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the timetable for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.

Announcing the schedule at a news conference held at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Friday, INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, disclosed that the presidential election will take place on February 20, 2027.

The timetable sets the stage for the next election cycle, providing political parties, aspirants and stakeholders with a clear framework for preparations ahead of the polls.
