Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, in Lafia, the governor dismissed the accusations as baseless and dangerous.

The allegations were made by Professor Zachary Anger Gundu, former Pro-Chancellor of Benue State University, in a viral video.
Gundu accused the governor of facilitating violence and handing over farmlands to Fulani herdsmen.

Sule expressed disappointment that such claims came from a respected academic and warned that legal steps would follow if no evidence was presented.
“It is disheartening that stakeholders who should foster peace are spreading unfounded allegations that threaten the fragile stability between Nasarawa and Benue,” Addra said.
Sule emphasised that his administration has not received requests from Fulani groups for land, nor has it seized any land. He called the accusations an attack on his integrity and a threat to regional peace.
As Chairman of the North-Central Governors Forum, Sule reaffirmed his commitment to peacebuilding and regional cooperation.
He urged stakeholders to share actionable intelligence with security agencies instead of fuelling tensions through unverified claims.
