The All Progressive Congress (APC) has declared that Edo State Governor
Godwin Obaseki will be barred from the June 22 primary election.
Recall that Obaseki had raised an alarm earlier, claiming the president
of the APC intended to declare his disqualification at a press conference.
Shortly after the allegations were made, Jonathan Ayuba chair of the APC screening committee, announced Obaseki’s disqualification while presenting his report to Adams Oshiomhole,national chairman of the APC, at the Abuja national secretariat
Ayuba said Obaseki has been
disqualified because of a faulty certificate.
The panel also disqualified two other aspirants, Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen and Chris Ogiemwonyi
