The Benue State Government has announced the death of its Head of Service, Agbogbo Ode, following a brief illness.
Ode reportedly passed away on Saturday, marking a profound loss to the state’s public administration.
In an official statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Serumun Deborah, the late Head of Service was described as a seasoned technocrat and a highly respected figure in Nigeria’s public service.

The government highlighted his reputation for integrity, dedication, and his significant contributions toward improving the efficiency and development of the Benue State Civil Service.
According to the statement, Ode’s tenure was defined by professionalism, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to institutional excellence.

The state government also extended its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider civil service community, while offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
