Speaking after a strategy session of the National Political Consultative Group (North) in Abuja, party spokesperson Malam Bolaji Abdullahi said governors are avoiding open support for fear of intimidation by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“We’re not losing sleep. Nigerians are hungry, angry, and desperate for change. That change is the ADC,” Abdullahi declared.
He noted that many governors are silently supportive but are “playing safe” due to political pressure. Abdullahi emphasized that the ADC coalition is people-driven and growing, dismissing APC’s claim that the party will collapse soon.

“They said ‘dead on arrival,’ now it’s ‘six months left.’ Let them keep predicting; we’ll keep growing,” he said.
The meeting was attended by heavyweights like former Senate President David Mark and ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
