The electrifying concert, held on April 21st, drew over 23,500 enthusiastic fans and followed his recent historic feat of filling the 80,000-capacity Stade De France in Paris.

Burna Boy’s performance in Manchester was a high-energy spectacle, reinforcing his position as one of the most prominent African pop stars on the global touring circuit.

He thrilled the audience with renditions of his numerous hit records, showcasing the impressive repertoire that has built his enviable touring success.

This sold-out show marked Burna Boy’s only UK arena performance scheduled for the year and was a key part of his ‘I Told Them’ tour.

The tour shares its name with his successful 2023 album, a significant project that marked a turning point in his already illustrious career.

The concert was a masterclass in stagecraft, featuring dynamic visuals, dazzling pyrotechnics, energetic dancers, and a meticulously curated setlist that highlighted the best of his extensive discography.

Mirroring his recent show in Paris, Burna Boy brought out Nigerian Gen Z sensation Shallipopi to perform the remix of their viral hit single ‘Laho’.

He was also joined on stage by Joé Dwèt Filé, with whom he performed their collaboration ‘4KampeII,’ following their joint appearance at the Stade De France.

Following his triumphant Manchester concert, the global hitmaker is set to return to the stage as a headliner at the prestigious Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans on April 24, 2025.

Reflecting on the electrifying experience, Burna Boy expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his UK fanbase, stating, “Co-op Live was a movie last night! You all brought that big stadium energy and mad vibes from start to finish. My only UK arena show, and we turned it into something unforgettable”.

2025 is proving to be another landmark year for Burna Boy, who has recently announced the upcoming release of his eighth studio album, titled ‘No Sign of Weakness,’ expected later this year.

He has also released a track titled ‘Update’ to further build anticipation for the new album, which is already generating significant buzz among music enthusiasts.

Burna Boy’s consistent success and ability to captivate massive audiences worldwide continue to solidify his position as a leading force in global music.
