The Ekiti State government has intensified efforts to build an efficient and effective civil service through in-house trainings for civil servants.

The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, explained that such efforts were part of the state government’s strategies to transform the civil service into a veritable platform for the implementation of government policies and programmes.

While declaring open a one-day capacity building workshop for members of staff of his office in Ado-Ekiti, Egbeyemi revealed that civil servants were expected to be official and incorruptible in the discharge of their responsibilities to the people.

The one-day capacity building workshop centres on health tips, highlights of public service rules and financial management.

According to Egbeyemi, Dr. Fayemi was committed to building a virile civil service that would epitomise quality service delivery to the people.

The Deputy Governor said civil servants were pivotal to achieving the transformational programmes of Dr. Kayode Fayemi as enshrined in his four-point agenda.
