After casting his vote at about 9.15am, Governor Udom Emmanuel has given kudos to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the people of Akwa Ibom State for coming out early to cast their votes.
He said there is an improvement in the organization of the exercise, compared with the one that took place two weeks ago.
The governor said judging from what he observed in his own unit, that everything has gone on well so far.
He said he will give a more detailed assessment by midday, after he must have received reports about how the exercise is proceeding elsewhere in the state.
He said the process of accreditation and authentication has been smooth based on his assessment.
