A former Chairman, House of Representative Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has called for a debate between the National Chairmen of the two leading political parties, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to Jibrin, Uche Secondus of the PDP and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of the APC should tell Nigerians what their political parties stand for on a national television.
Jibrin, a chieftain of the APC, said it was unfortunate that some political parties do not know their policies.
The lawmaker tweeted, “This time we must have a TV debate on policy document between @OfficialAPCNg chair Oshiomhole and @OfficialPDPNig Secondus.
“It’s shocking that some parties don’t know anything about their own policy document.
“I know the APC policy doc is rooted in our party’s progressive ideology.”
