Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, on Friday criticised those condemning the Supreme Court judgements that gave victory to candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma and other states.
Lalong, who returned to Jos on Friday after the Supreme Court validated his victory last Tuesday addressed APC supporters who gathered at the Government House to welcome him.
The governor was flanked by some APC chieftains including the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Paulline Tallen; the lawmaker repressing Pankshin /Kanam/Kanke in the National Assembly, Yusuf Gagdi and the state party chairman, Mr Letep Dabang among others.
The governor told the party supporters that those demonstrating against the victories recorded by APC candidates at the court were not sincere.
Lalong said” After our victory in Imo, some people came up to demonstrate. There is no need for such. If the Supreme Court has ruled and somebody says no, it means that somebody wants to commit suicide. In Zamfara state, some people who did not even buy forms to contest election are now in the National Assembly as a result of the court judgement.
