Organised by Trendupp Africa, the platform continues to honour influencers, content creators, and brands who have significantly shaped conversations and culture across the continent.

Now in its fifth edition, the awards ceremony themed “Still Explosive” promises to spotlight 17 outstanding winners chosen from a remarkable pool of 104 finalists.
These creators span various niches and platforms, with notable names like VeeKee James, Aproko Doctor, Folagade Banks, Peller, and Liquorose making the shortlist.

This year’s event has taken on an even more Pan-African tone, reinforcing its mission to recognise bold, consistent, and culturally impactful digital storytelling across Africa’s fast-evolving media landscape.
Over 340,000 public nominations were received across 17 categories, underscoring the growing relevance and influence of digital creators in Africa.
Each category now has six finalists, except for the Emerging Force award, which features eight nominees and is the only category open to public voting.
Speaking about the quality of entries, Sam Onyemelukwe, a member of the 2025 Judging Council and Senior Vice President at TRACE, said, “The quality of nominees this year is truly remarkable.
Every creator and brand on the list embodies the key pillars of influence we aim to celebrate: creativity, consistency, and engagement.
While only one winner will be named in each category, being nominated already signifies that your voice matters, your work is valued, and your impact is real.”
The Trendupp Awards have grown into a leading platform, showcasing the transformative power of digital media in Africa.
With public anticipation building, fans and followers are already rallying around their favourites as voting for the Emerging Force category goes live.
