Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has revealed that her husband, actor Kolawole Ajeyemi, once threatened to end their marriage if she failed to quit smoking.
Abraham made the disclosure during a recent episode of The Moraya Show, where she opened up about her past struggle with cigarette addiction and her decision to stop smoking.

According to the actress, Ajeyemi warned that their marriage would not work if she continued smoking. She said the ultimatum prompted her to quit because she valued her marriage.
“My husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, is one of the best things that ever happened to me. He lets me shine and be me,” Abraham said.

“I used to be a cigarette addict, but he warned me that if I don’t stop smoking, our marriage won’t work. I had to stop it because I valued my marriage.”
Abraham, however, disclosed that although she no longer smokes conventional cigarettes, she still uses electronic cigarettes, commonly known as vapes.
The actress also described her husband as supportive and non-controlling, saying he allows her to do things that make her happy as long as they are safe.
She praised Ajeyemi for supporting her personal growth and career while allowing her to maintain her individuality.
Abraham’s revelation has drawn attention to her past battle with cigarette addiction and the role her husband played in encouraging her to quit smoking.
