Big Brother Naija personality Tacha Akide was reportedly arrested at her residence in Ajah, Lagos, on Sunday, August 30, 2026, after allegedly failing to respond to three formal invitations from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrimes Centre (NPF-NCCC).
Media personality Seun Oloketuyi broke the news, stating that officers took the reality television star into custody early Sunday morning. According to Oloketuyi, Tacha received the invitations between May and August but did not appear before the authorities.
“Just in. Tacha has been arrested today by the NPF. Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations between May and August by the NPF-NCCC, but she decided not to honour the IV. She was picked up at her Ajah residence early this morning,” he wrote.
The matter is believed to stem from a March controversy in which Tacha posted a video on social media accusing a man of rape. Reports at the time indicated the allegation had significant repercussions, including potential damage to the man’s employment prospects and a job opportunity abroad.
