South-South Set to Deliver Landslide Victory for Tinubu in 2027, Says Amnesty Programme Boss

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr Dennis Otuaro, has expressed confidence that the South-South geopolitical zone will deliver a sweeping electoral victory for Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Otuaro made the declaration while applauding the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congresses across the region, describing them as a strong foundation for the party’s future electoral success.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of Delta State, also expressed confidence in the ruling party’s strength in the region. He stated that Delta had effectively become a “no-go area” for opposition parties due to the infrastructural strides recorded under his administration.
Delta’s Development Strengthening Political Dominance
Oborevwori spoke during the commissioning of the 4.8-kilometre Oko–Amakom/Oko-Obiokpu/Oko-Anala Road in Oko Kingdom and several other road projects in Asaba, within Oshimili South Local Government Area.
According to the governor, the administration’s infrastructure drive has boosted public confidence in governance and positioned the state for continued political dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He recalled that during the 2023 gubernatorial election he secured victory in 21 of the state’s 25 local government areas, even before assuming office as governor.
“With the level of development and projects we have delivered in almost three years, Delta State has become a no-go area for other political parties,” Oborevwori said.
The governor added that the newly completed road network would significantly enhance economic activities in the area, particularly for farmers who previously struggled to transport their produce due to poor road conditions, especially during the rainy season.
He noted that improved road access would help farmers move goods more easily to markets, increasing incomes and improving livelihoods in rural communities.
APC Congresses Strengthen Party Structure
Otuaro attributed the APC’s growing strength in the South-South to the leadership of governors across the region, including those of Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Edo states.
He commended the successful election of new ward executives and State Working Committees during the recent party congresses, describing the process as transparent and consensus-driven.
The PAP administrator also congratulated newly elected APC state chairmen across the region and praised party delegates for their discipline and commitment during the exercise.
According to him, the successful congresses demonstrate the party’s internal cohesion and readiness for future elections.
Renewed Hope Agenda and 2027 Outlook
Otuaro further credited the leadership of President Tinubu for strengthening internal democracy within the APC and fostering unity among party members nationwide.
He expressed optimism that the structures established through the congresses would play a critical role in delivering a decisive victory for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The PAP boss also said the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to deliver development and economic reforms across the country, strengthening public support ahead of the next electoral cycle.
