Ogun State’s So-Safe Corps, in a joint operation with the Nigeria Police Force, rescued ten victims of suspected human trafficking, lured from Ghana with false job promises and held captive in Mowe
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has successfully rescued ten victims of suspected human trafficking in a joint operation with the Nigeria Police Force, Redeemed Division.

The victims, who were lured from Ghana under false pretenses of employment, were discovered locked inside a three-bedroom apartment in Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, from the Corps’ Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, confirmed the rescue in a statement released on Monday.
According to the statement, the So-Safe Corps acted on credible intelligence regarding the victims’ location.
Corps Commander Soji Ganzallo detailed the operation, stating, “On April 19, 2025, operatives of the Corps received critical intelligence about the victims’ location.
The Owode-Egba Zonal Command, led by Assistant Commander Rasaki Jimoh, was immediately mobilised.”
Ganzallo further explained that a joint operation was carried out on April 20, 2025, at approximately 10 am, involving the So-Safe Corps and the Nigeria Police Force, Redeemed Division. The team successfully stormed the identified building and rescued the ten victims.
During the operation, authorities also apprehended individuals believed to be involved in the criminal act. Among those rescued and detained are three females and seven males, including a Nigerian man who served as the building’s security guard.
The rescued victims and the apprehended individuals have been identified as Frank Adjei (45), Emmanuel Agyapong (50), Adam Zakari (33), Benjamin Etuah (20), Asamoah Kwaku (53), Yusuf Kasim (27), Ogunle Damola (32), Gift Dzakpasu (21), Susana Ampons (35), and Anita Otaibu. All ten individuals have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Redeemed Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and potential prosecution.
