Senator Gbenga Daniel has congratulated Chief Olu Falae on his appointment as the Chairman of Afenifere’s National Executive Council, urging him to unite the Pan-Yoruba group for the interest of Yorubaland
The former governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun East senatorial district, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has extended his congratulations to Chief Olu Falae on his appointment as the Chairman of the National Executive Council for Afenifere.

In a statement personally signed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Senator Daniel, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Navy, praised the overall leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, for the appointment.
He expressed belief that this step would significantly contribute to fostering unity within the organization.

Chief Olu Falae is a thoroughbred intellectual who has what it takes to unite the Afenifere family, I urge him to do all within his power to achieve this goal towards the interest of Yorubaland.
“I am delighted that the leadership of Afenifere under Chief Reuben Fasoranti has taken this significant step which I believe would go a long way to foster unity for us all,” Senator Daniel stated.
The Senator further charged Chief Falae to utilize his considerable experience and intellect to unite the entire Afenifere family for the broader interest of Yorubaland.
“Chief Olu Falae is a thoroughbred intellectual who has what it takes to unite the Afenifere family, I urge him to do all within his power to achieve this goal towards the interest of Yorubaland,” he urged.
Senator Daniel also made a personal commitment, adding, “I am also making a solemn commitment to volunteer myself for any effort at unification going forward.”
