Social media influencer Saida Boj has publicly called out Seun Kuti over his ongoing social media clash with music star Wizkid, expressing disappointment at how the Afrobeat singer has handled the controversy.
The influencer reacted to Seun Kuti’s criticism of Wizkid, whom he accused of crossing the line by comparing himself to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the late Afrobeat pioneer and Seun’s father.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Saida Boj said Seun’s approach to the issue had made her lose respect for him, arguing that he had unnecessarily dragged his father’s legacy into public debate.
“Mr Seun Kuti, I’m very disappointed in you. I used to respect and like you, but the way you are carrying on about Wizkid doesn’t make sense,” she said.
She further pointed out that Wizkid has a tattoo of Fela Kuti on his body, describing it as clear evidence of respect for the legendary musician.
“The person you are dragging on social media has a tattoo of your father on his body. What does that tell you? It means that your father was a legend. Isn’t that enough proof that he respects your father?” she added.
According to Saida Boj, attempting to constantly prove Fela Kuti’s greatness is unnecessary and, in her view, disrespectful.
“You turned your father into a basis for debate. Trying to prove that your father is greater than anyone is a disrespect to him. People already know,” she said, urging Seun Kuti to step back from the public feud.
The clash between Seun Kuti and Wizkid has dominated social media conversations in recent days, with supporters of both artistes trading banter online.
The dispute began last week after Seun Kuti accused Wizkid FC, the singer’s fan base, of disrespecting Fela Kuti’s legacy by comparing the Afrobeat pioneer to the Grammy-winning artiste.
Wizkid later responded via his Instagram Stories, reposting a video of a woman defending him and claiming he has introduced Fela Kuti’s music to a younger generation. He also sparked controversy with a caption that many described as inflammatory.
Prior to the escalation, Seun Kuti had warned against comparing contemporary artistes to his late father, describing such comparisons as disrespectful and an attempt to “steal the man’s image.”
The public exchange has since fueled intense debate about legacy, respect, and generational influence within Nigeria’s music industry.
