Scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at The Rotary Centre, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, the seminar will focus on strengthening Rotary’s visibility, credibility, and influence through strategic communication.

With the theme centered on building a compliant and impactful Rotary image, the seminar is designed to equip Rotarians, Rotaractors, and club leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to amplify Rotary’s story nationwide.

Renowned journalist and former presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, will deliver the keynote address on “Strategic Media Engagements to Advance Rotary’s Mission in Nigeria.”

Also gracing the event is Dr. Nkechi Ali-Balogun, fnipr, Chairman/CEO of PRCAN, as Special Guest of Honour.

Rotary leader and respected journalist Ibim Semenitari will share a goodwill message, lending her voice to the importance of building the right brand identity for Rotary in Africa.

District Governor Lanre Adedoyin, who serves as chief host, emphasized the significance of public image in Rotary’s growth.

“Public Image is one way that we expand our reach in Rotary—telling our stories as People of Action and showcasing our impact,” Adedoyin stated.

The seminar will feature several distinguished guests and media icons, including Sam Omatseye (The Nation), Joseph Adeyeye (Punch), Dr. Sam Ayetutu, Gbenga Adefaye, Tony Onyima, Martins Oloja, and Shola Oshunkeye, a CNN Award-winning journalist.

Participants will benefit from diverse presentations including:

  • “What Is a Great Brand?” by Joy Obinyan
  • “Using Social Media to Amplify Rotary Stories” by Oromena Osugo
  • An overview of Nigeria’s media landscape by Ehi Braimah, Chair of the District 9112 Public Image Committee
