Renowned professor of Medicine, Bolaji Akinsanya, dies at 84

A renowned professor of Medicine and elder statesman, Otunba Bolaji Akinsanya, is dead.
He died in the early hours of September 20, 2017 at the age of 84, according to a statement on Monday.
The renowned surgeon and one-time consultant with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, made his mark in the field of Anatomy and “left commendable legacies for medical institutions across the country.”
Akinsanya was survived by his wife, Justice Dolapo Akinsanya (retd.); children, relatives and friends.
His burial arrangement will be announced shortly, according to the statement.
