Osun PDP endorses Tinubu for 2027 as Governor Adeleke affirms loyalty to party and secures endorsement for 2026 re-election bid in Osun State
Governor Ademola Adeleke has confirmed he will remain in the Peoples Democratic Party. Speaking on Tuesday, he stated, “I will remain in the PDP, the party that gave me the platform to serve the good people of Osun.”

This declaration follows a crucial meeting with Osun PDP leaders, where it was agreed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
Adeleke’s loyalty to the PDP was also rewarded, as he secured their endorsement as the party’s sole candidate for the 2026 Osun governorship election.

He said the decision came after several weeks of grassroots consultations with traditional rulers, civil servants, and market leaders. The consensus was formalised in a communique by the Osun PDP leadership caucus.
“Our party in Osun has also endorsed President Tinubu for re-election in 2027, recognising him as a proud son of our state,” Adeleke added.

Despite recent rumours of a possible defection to the APC, Adeleke’s commitment to the PDP appears stronger than ever.
His endorsement comes at a politically charged time, with members of the APC resisting any plan that could make him their de facto leader in Osun State.

“The love and support from the people of Osun continues to inspire me. Together, we move forward,” Adeleke concluded.
