The former lawmaker used the occasion to reiterate his commitment to bringing good governance to the people of Osun come 2026.

Husain, who previously represented Osun West Senatorial District and served as an NPC commissioner, noted that the period of Eid-Kabir embodies core values rooted in spiritual reflection, compassion, and sacrifice.

He urged that these principles should serve as the foundation for interpersonal relationships and societal engagement.

In a congratulatory statement released to journalists on Thursday, Senator Husain reaffirmed his dedication to public service and his vision for the state.

“I extend my warmest greetings to all Muslim faithful in Osun and beyond on the historic celebration of Eid Kabir being an epochal period of spiritual reflection, gratitude and love sharing,” Senator Husain stated.

As a leading governorship aspirant in Osun State, I still use the opportunity of this spiritual uplifting and celebration, to offer myself to service of the people as an harbinger of ease, hope and good governance in Osun, while envisioning a state where everyone has equal access to democratic dividends – healthcare, education, social empowerment and prosperity.

“Since the festival is the commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s unflinching obedience to Allah’s command, I therefore urge everyone to imbibe the core values of spiritual reflection, love, compassion and sacrifice which the joyous occasion represent in both spiritual and social engagements.”

The aspirant pledged his unwavering commitment to championing the struggles for bringing good governance to the people of Osun.

“As a leading governorship aspirant in Osun State, I still use the opportunity of this spiritual uplifting and celebration, to offer myself to service of the people as an harbinger of ease, hope and good governance in Osun, while envisioning a state where everyone has equal access to democratic dividends – healthcare, education, social empowerment and prosperity,” he affirmed.

The statement concluded with a prayer for renewed hope and determination to build a vibrant state where the well-being of its citizens is paramount.
