The fire outbreak at the palace of the Oba of Lagos on Tuesday has being tagged a mere coincidence by one of the officials of the Ooni of Ife.
The Ooni’s palace spokesman, Moses Olafaresays that Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is unhappy about the fire incident in the Lagos monarch’s palace.

We are not happy over the fact that the palace of Lagos king got burnt, we can only sympathise with the palace on the development, he said.
Olafare said, people are entitle to their own views. He continued, But what people say doesnt mean that is the position of the palace. What happened is mere coincidence and should not be traced to the incident in Lagos, we send our sympathies.

The fire incident at the Lagos monarchs palace, occured about one week after the controversial snub of the Ooni of Ife by ObaRilwan Akiolu.
This made many to believe that the Ooni’s palace had a hand in the fire outbreak at the Lagos king’s palace.
