Unveiled on Monday in Akure by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Oluwaseun Osamaye, the initiative aligns with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s vision of inclusive governance and social development.

According to Osamaye, the O’Datiwa Women Initiative Blueprint outlines ten key programmes, including free vocational training, empowerment for women with disabilities, elderly care, widow support, and free medical outreach for vulnerable groups.
“We are laying the foundation for the blueprint — the action plans that will guide us for the next four years under Governor Aiyedatiwa,” Osamaye said during the unveiling at the Babafunke Ajasin Conference Hall.

She added that the blueprint was developed after considering the diverse needs of women in all 18 local government areas, in line with the governor’s “Our Ease” campaign agenda.
“During his campaign, Mr. Governor made firm promises to the women of Ondo State. Today, those promises are being turned into concrete action,” she added.
The commissioner emphasized that the Ministry of Women Affairs will collaborate with various agencies and organisations to ensure the success of the O’Datiwa Women Initiative Blueprint.
“This is not a task for the ministry alone. All hands must be on deck to make this initiative a success,” she stressed.
