As residents of Ogun State join the rest of the World to celebrate Christmas, the Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo has urged them to utilize period of Christmas as an opportunity of rekindling the spirit of love, kindness and unity.
The Commissioner in a personal statement, said the special season which was in celebration of Christ’s birth signifies His love for mankind and exemplary sacrifice that we should emulate in our dealings with others irrespective of societal or racial differences.
Adeleye admonished the people on the faithful adherence to the virtues of Jesus Christ, including love, unity and peaceful coexistence, which constituted the fundamental ingredients for growth of any nation, that would in turn bring about economic prosperity and stability.
Imploring them to devote more time to pray for the nation in view of the forthcoming elections, the former lawmakers assured them that the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Party both at the Federal and State levels were equipped with goal- driven and people-oriented plans to improve the nation’s economy.
“The Presidential and Gubernatorial candidates of our great party, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Prince Dapo Abiodun respectively have harnessed the yearnings and aspirations of the populace; formulated people-oriented economic policies and action plans for a better society with clear vision of opportunity, social justice and prosperity for all.
