Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has refuted viral claims that her son, singer Mayorkun, lost his Lagos mansion to a fire outbreak.
The rumour, which gained traction on Instagram on Sunday, alleged that the singer and his family narrowly escaped a fire incident at their residence.
Reacting to the report, Adewale described it as misleading and unfair, expressing disappointment over what she called the spread of unverified information.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress reassured the public that her family is safe and unharmed, while urging content creators and bloggers to prioritise fact-checking before publishing such claims.
She also criticised the platform responsible for the report, questioning its editorial credibility and warning against the dangers of spreading false information.

Despite the controversy, Adewale expressed gratitude to friends, fans, and well-wishers who reached out to check on her family during the scare.
“Amen, Amen, and Amen… Thanks for checking on us. Thanks for your calls and messages. I truly appreciate. We shall not cry nor mourn over our children. No evil shall befall any of us,” she wrote.
Her response has since calmed concerns among fans, reinforcing that no fire incident occurred and that the reports were entirely unfounded.
