There is an ongoing crisis in Jos as reports filtering in have it that Berom community is under attack.
All attempt to get the government’s stand on this is yet to yield anything.
The fight allegedly started when people suspected to be Fulani or Muslim wiped out a whole family and women from Berom protested. Instead of pacifying the grieving women, they were allegedly attacked which led Berom to retaliate.
This allegedly escalated with these attackers maiming anyone in the community with the innocent University of Jos students caught in between.
Anyone in Berom community is allegedly not spared and likewise Christians found in any other Muslim community.
We call on relevant security agencies to take holistic actions and prevent further loss of lives.
