A man named Abubakar was alleged to have defiled a 12-years-old girl identified as Rukayat Musa in Keana Local Government of Nasarawa State.

Rukayat’s Uncle, Muhammad Jafaru narrated how she was raped to TribuneOnline, saying that Mr Abubakar a teacher in the area dragged the victim into his friend room, tied her mouth with rangs and then forcefully slept with her.

According to him, “it was on Monday 23rd that she was sent to collect a cell phone from a commercial charging point. While on her way going, a teacher named Abubakar who was well known in the area called the little girl with intention of sending her elsewhere.

“According to what she told us, the man held her hand moving toward a room, and innocently for the little girl to comprehend his hiding motive and before she realised, he grabbed her, unclothed her and tied her mouth with a piece of cloth so that she could not cry aloud.

“While in the process, she started bleeding. And when they saw blood coming out from her private part continuously, he used pampers to control the blood and then threatened to kill her if she dares to tell anyone that he did that to her.

“The man also told the girl that if anybody asks her she should say it was Fulani people that committed the atrocity.

“Right now the case is in the police station at Keana Local Government, even this morning his brothers came pleading for the case to be withdrawn from the station and be taken back home to settle amicably.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) Nasarawa State command, Usman Bello has confirmed the incident, affirming that the alleged person “is in their custody awaiting further action”.
