Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau yesterday signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2018 and two others, saying this would end the transfer of criminal suspects from the state to Abuja.
Lalong said the Administration of Criminal Justice Law had further reinforced the framework for effective prosecution of criminal cases in the state.
He assured Plateau citizens of the quick dispensation of justice and lauded the synergy between the three-arms of government which, he said, resulted in the signing of the bills into laws.
The other bills signed by the governor were the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency Bill 2017 and the Penal Code of Plateau State Bill 2018.
