The countdown to the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival has officially taken a glamorous turn, thanks to cultural fashion icon Farooq Oreagba, widely celebrated as the “King of Steeze.”
As anticipation builds for this year’s highly anticipated Ojude Oba celebration in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Oreagba unveiled a stunning set of pre-festival photographs that have captivated social media and fashion enthusiasts alike.
Draped in a meticulously tailored traditional Asọ-Ọkè Agbada ensemble, Farooq exuded a regal aura that seamlessly fused Yorùbá heritage, luxury fashion, and cultural elegance. The ensemble featured a richly embroidered navy blue Bùbá beneath a majestic outer robe adorned with deep indigo, crimson red, and cream vertical patterns, commanding attention with every detail.
Adding to the grandeur, Oreagba completed the look with a pleated Fìlà Gbobà cap, multiple silver chains, statement rings, clear aviator glasses, and a sophisticated walking cane with an ornate gold handle. Iconic shots of him posed beside a brown horse elevated the imagery, creating what fans have described as a perfect mix of royalty, culture, and editorial fashion brilliance.

These latest visuals have amplified excitement for the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated cultural gatherings. Traditionally held in Ijebu-Ode on the third day after Eid al-Kabir, the festival draws thousands of guests, tourists, and prominent members of the Ijebu community from around the world.
