Frank Edoho Opens Up on Heartbreak, Says He Fears Dying Over Emotional Pain

Popular Nigerian television host Frank Edoho has revealed that one of his greatest fears is dying from heartbreak or emotional pain caused by a woman.

The veteran broadcaster made the emotional disclosure during an interview on the YouTube programme Outside The Box, published on Saturday, where he reflected on male vulnerability, silent suffering and the legacy he hopes to leave behind.

According to Edoho, he hopes to be remembered for positively impacting lives rather than being consumed by emotional trauma.

“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me and they say it’s a woman,” he said. “Whether that woman be my daughter, my wife, my mother, I don’t want that to be my way out of this portal.”

The media personality, widely known for hosting the Nigerian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, said he desires a peaceful end marked by fulfilment and service to others.

His comments come amid renewed attention on his personal life following allegations made by his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya.

Sandra recently accused Edoho of infidelity, emotional abuse and financial irresponsibility in a lengthy Instagram post. She also alleged that he pressured her to terminate a pregnancy during their marriage.

Edoho, however, denied the accusations and countered with claims that Sandra had been unfaithful. He alleged that she had an affair with Nigerian singer Chike and claimed he possessed recordings of conversations between them.

While Edoho did not directly address the marital dispute during the interview, he spoke extensively about the emotional burden many men carry in silence.

“The task of manhood is very daunting. Men don’t speak. Men go through a lot,” he said. “Whatever a man is going through, he’s just silent. He doesn’t say it. He holds it to himself.”

The broadcaster also revealed that he once battled a deeply difficult emotional period for nearly two years without opening up to anyone around him.

“There was a time I was in a very dark hole, but nobody knew,” he admitted. “I thought the walls were caving in.”

Edoho attributed his ability to conceal emotional pain to years of experience in broadcasting, explaining that his profession trained him to maintain composure regardless of personal struggles.

The television host was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang before their separation. His marriage to Sandra is his second, and he previously confirmed that they had been separated for nearly two years before the recent public controversy erupted online.
