In a recent interview on the ‘Adesope podcast’, the ‘Koko Master’ named singers Rema, Davido, and Burna Boy as the only artistes he is currently listening to.

While D’Banj Wizkid exclusion became a talking point, D’banj was effusive in his praise for those he did name.
He lauded Rema for his exceptional energy, commended Burna Boy for his undeniable intentionality and impressive live performances, and highlighted Davido for his remarkable humility and consistent dedication to his craft.
Shout out to Rema. I love Rema’s energy. You know, there’s this guy that I love a lot and he loves me too. He will be doing as if tomorrow, if he wakes up, there’s no money—David is hustling like he doesn’t have money.

When asked by Adesope to name his top three current artistes, D’banj responded: “Shout out to Rema. I love Rema’s energy. You know, there’s this guy that I love a lot and he loves me too. He will be doing as if tomorrow, if he wakes up, there’s no money—David is hustling like he doesn’t have money.”
He continued to praise Davido’s approach, stating, “And I think people should learn from how he carries himself, like he does not have a penny, yet he is so consistent. Then Burna Boy is too intentional—his live shows are amazing.”
