Easter period comes once in a year, but according to Hon. Fateema Mohamed, remembering the poor and the needy should be a regular activity.
She made this known when she unveiled her plans for the less privileged families in her Ifako Ijaye constituency.
Mohameed is set to show love as Jesus Christ did in a special way by making people she represents at the House of Assembly have a happy Easter celebration.
About 250 families in the constituency would be entitled to cash gifts. This is according to the plan, while same would get food stuff that would last them through the festive season.
“There’s nothing greater than love,” Mohameed said, “and we can’t help but show love to our people who cannot afford the basics and the necessities”.
“Everyone deserves to have a great, hunger free holiday and as long as I am here, I have decided to make it my duty,” she concluded while wishing everyone a happy holiday.
